There once was a man named Bob,
He walked around like he hated his job,
He tried to grow hair, but looked like he used nair,
So went to Ross and sobbed.
There once was a boy they called Robbie
For whom style was more than a hobby
His clothes are so fine — I wish they were mine
I’ll just go and take’m off his body
There once was a bird that went, “Caw-caw!”
He was carrying a very big saw.
He chopped off my head, and then I was dead -
But that’s murder, it’s against the law.
Robbie G plays the guitar.
He also has a station wagon car.
It is very clean, and lean and mean
But it cannot drive very far.
There are many fish in the sea
Though none ever seem to catch me
They’ll wander the shores
With bright shiny lures
But I’ll just walk on, quite free
*
I stand beneath the window, breath held tight
And wonder if the rain will start to fall –
A hide-and-seeking breathless sort of night
But panting giggles will betray us all.
(iambic pentameter)
There once was a boy they called Devon
Who claimed he came straight down from heaven
With talent and brains
He was hardly insane
And each night he retires at seven.
The snow softly floats from the skies
And catches those friends by surprise
With skates, sleds and more
They dash out the door
And dream of those sugar-plum pies.

I spun in the star twinkled night
And found a grey sprinkled kite.
It flew to the heavens
Came back at eleven
And I began all over at seven

A limerick
He wound up to toss the ball
When he turned he started to fall
He began to cry
And scream why
But then stood up real tall

My teacher made me write a poem
About how well each of us know him
It was due last week, and it still needs a tweak
I’m really afraid to show him

Their eyes connect like train tracks
Still not strong to bring the love back
Into the depths of desire
Burn the limits, a house on fire.
Today I will be one with you
Until at tomorrow our love is due
Come back to me and kiss me please
Make all my fears come at ease

there once was a parrot
who sat on a bar
within his cage so far
in the back of his room
boo hoo.
the parrot he spoke
but he looked like a dope
when talking of biscuts and tea
with no one to listen but me.
